Spring Break: A Mission Opportunity

posted Mar 11, 2014, 12:01 PM by Ginger Bowman
All across Texas this week classrooms are empty, but many students are still at work.  Baptist Student Ministries and many of our church college ministries are spending this week serving others and sharing the Gospel with those who need to hear it.

Close to 1000 students and leaders are serving this week at Beach Reach in South Padre Island.  Students will give rides, serve pancakes and engage Spring Break-ers with the good news of Jesus Christ.  If you would like to pray for these groups this week, view the Prayer Wall on twitter at #brspi14 or the web at http://wtbsm.com/prayerwall/.  Groups from all over the U.S. are also serving in the SBC Beach Reach ministry in Panama City, FL this week.  You can pray for the Panama City ministry at #BR2014 or the website at http://www.beachreachlivepcb.com/prayer. Pray for all of these teams  to have opportunities to share the Gospel.  Pray for protection and safety for the teams driving and ministering to all types of people.  Pray for the seeds that are planted this week to bear fruit in the lives of those they encounter this week.

Other groups are serving in mission oppourtunities around Texas, the U.S. and the world this week.  Some will work in children's day camps, inner city mission centers, with refugees and a host of other outreach efforts.  Will you pray for these teams this week?  Would you ask God to use these students and leaders to expand His kingdom in the places they serve?

*Share your Spring Break mission experience with us!  We would love to hear about it.  Email Ginger Bowman at ginger.bowman@texasbaptists.org or share on our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/txcollegechurch.
