Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few." This Thursday, on 10-10-13 for a 24 hour period, college students around the country will make a coordinated effort to engage their campuses with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The challenge is for every believing college student share the Gospel with one person that day. We need workers to engage the harvest on the 158 campuses across our state. If your church is taking up this challenge we want to hear your story. You can share stories and reports here and, as a bonus, be entered to win an i-pad mini.
Engage in prayer. Would you pray for the students who will take up that challenge on their campuses this week in both church and campus ministries? Pray that they would look out onto their campuses with compassion, and that they would be bold in sharing their faith.
Engage to share. Of course sharing the Gospel with students is needed all of the time. If you haven't planned to participate on Thursday, plan toward another selected day or week when you encourage your students to share their faith with friends. The new Engage study from Threads is a great resource for training students in evangelism, and there is a host of other resource ideas available on the Engage24 site at www.engage24.org.
