Is Your Church Ministering to College Students in Texas?

If so, we want to hear about it, and we want others to hear about it too!
Particularly students that will attend college in your community.  Next week we will be sending out our annual Texas Church College Ministry Survey to find out what God has been doing in Texas churches in the area of college ministry.  By completing this short survey we get to hear what your church is doing and you can let us know that you want your church information listed in the state and national directories of church college ministry.

Soon, through the texasfreshmen.com site, students will be able to locate a BSM and local churches near their campus.  In order to list your church, we need to hear from you through the survey.  Already, last year's churches who replied are listed with www.sbccampusconnect.net, and we will add and update this listing with the completion of this year's survey.  We also make this information available to BSM Directors and others who want to recommend churches to incoming college students.

In addition, when we combine the information we collect from Texas churches with information from Baptist Student Ministries, we get a good picture of what ministry is taking place in our state and where we need to add ministry.  Where are the strong points?  What campuse and cities need more ministry presence?  We want to continue to develop ministry strategy and parterships that will help to reach the 1.4 million students in our state.  We also get to celebrate all that God is doing in college ministry in our state.  We'll be glad to share some of that information here as well.  Thanks for what you and your church are doing to contribute to that effort.  We look forward to what we can accomplish together for the kingdom.
