For Christ...On Campus...In the City

Did you know that there are more than 143,000 college students in the Dallas and Collin County areas?  Most of the campuses in these areas do not have a Baptist Student Ministry.  Few of them have any kind of Christian student organization.   In an effort to impact these campuses for Christ we are going to begin recruiting  a special team of Campus Missionary Interns for 2013-2014.  These interns will serve on one or more of the 6 campuses in this area with greatest need,  partnering with local churches to help start a Baptist Student Ministry on that campus.

Do you have a student leader in your ministry that would be a great fit for such a place?  Perhaps you have students who have attended community college in the past, now they are leaders in your college ministry.  We are asking you to help us identify candidates and share the vision for this team.  For a more specific job description check out the CMC3 project at GoNowMissions.com.

These students will begin their term of service in Germany participating in a campus mission project that will help them as they return to their year long campus assignment.  They will serve individually on a campus and as a team.  They will engage in training, mentoring and supporting each other’s ministry.  This could be a great training opportunity for the future of these students as well as have a lasting impact on college ministry in the Dallas/Collin Metro area.

The CMC3 project is a pilot project that will potentially be used to start ministry in other areas of the state in the near future.  Would you pray for this new ministry effort?  Would you have a student or two that you would recommend for this project?
