Fees:
There is a $15 per person required registration fee that covers accidental insurance, t-shirt and Disaster Relief badge. There is an additional $15 per night fee that covers food and lodging. Please note we require a minimum of a 3 night stay at the lodging facility to participate.

Cancellation:
Registration is transferable within the group. No refunds are available due to advanced payment of food and supplies. No onsite registration will be taken due to capacity limits.

Capacity:
The capacity of the lodgign facility is 100 participants per night. Registration must be completed in advance of arrival due to capacity limits.

Lodging:
The lodging facility is Zion Lutheran Church on Staten Island. We have set up a tent city that will have large sleeps tents with cots for each individual. Tents are gender specific. We will provide a cot for each individual but participants need to bring their own linens for both bedding and shower facility. Due to the size of the cot, twin air mattresses will only be accommodated. Security will be provided at night.

Meals:
Meals will be provided onsite by a Disaster Relief feeding team. We are unable to take special dietary request. Lunch will be a self-prepared sack lunch each day to be taken to the worksite.

Showers:
An onsite Disaster Relief shower trailer will be provided. Shower shoes are suggested.

First Aid:
Student/groups need to provide their own first aid kits.

Worksites:
Due to the nature of Disaster Relief we are unable to give specific work assignments at this time. Primarily all groups will be doing mud out and recovery. Each participant needs to bring the following items:
- warm work clothes that will get dirty
- a pair of inexpensive leather work gloves
- a pair of inexpensive rubber gloves
- water proof rubber boots
- a pair of inexpensive safety glasses

These items are not required but are suggested due to weather conditions:
- hat
- scarf
- gloves

Unit Directors:
It is the responsibility of the group leader to contact their State Disaster Relief director to provide Unit Directors for the response. There needs to be a ratio of 1 unit director for every 10 students that are participating.

Training:
A training video and manual will be online at namb.net/dr. Video and training manual need to be viewed and read prior to arrival. Further information will be sent after registration.

Transportation:
Transportation to and from Staten Island, NY and the Zion Lutheran Church is at the expense of the group/individual. This includes transportation to and from the worksites. Parking is limited onsite and it is recommended nothing larger than a 15 passenger van be used. If charter buses are to be used, please contact Susan Peugh at 404-432-3067 prior to registration, as special considerations will need to be made.

Tolls:
All toll charges are the responsibility of the individual/group.

Christmas break:
The Volunteer Vilage will be closed for response work beginning Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Noon until Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 5pm.
